Summer is here! All you lovely ladies must be excited to put on your summer dress and have some fun outdoors. But all the fun goes away as you get the ugly tan not only in your face but also hands and feet. Suntan can be really embarrassing especially due to dual skin tone.

Yoghurt and Turmeric

Make a face pack with cucumber, rose water and lemon juice and apply it on the face. Keep it for 30 minutes and once you remove it you will see great results. 

Chandan pack

Chandan or sandalwood has been used since centuries to get beautiful skin. Sandalwood has skin healing and skin soothing features. Which is why sandalwood also cures the skin problems like sun burn, sun tan, pigmentation and boils in summers. Sandalwood is good for all the skin types and is used as face packs. Make a pack with sandalwood and rose water. Use that on the sun burnt skin or the sun tanned skin like on face, hands etc. Let it dry completely and wash off. Tomato

Tomato also works great in removing sun tan. It has anti-oxidants property, minerals, and vitamins that help in making the skin look healthy. To remove the tan, you can make a mask by mixing tomato pulp, one tablespoon of yogurt and some oatmeal. Remove it after 5-10 minutes and get clear as well as glowing skin.

Aloe Vera

Orange Peels

Take dried orange peels. Grind them finely into a powder. Mix this powder with curd. Apply it on your hands, face, and neck. After 15-20 minutes, rinse off with water.

Sandalwood

Mix turmeric powder and sandalwood powder in equal quantity. Prepare a thick paste by adding rose water. Apply. When it dries, rinse off with cold water. Another way is to combine sandalwood powder with almond oil and coconut oil. Use it on the sun burned areas.

Almond

Soak 5-6 almonds in water overnight. The next morning crush them and add milk to prepare a paste. Apply and wash with cold water. It acts as a good skin toner and scrub.

Cucumber

You can rub a slice of fresh cucumber on the skin. Else, you can mix 2 tbsp of fresh cucumber juice, a pinch of turmeric and 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Use it on the sun burned regions. It will soothe your skin and reduce the tanning.

Milk

To a small quantity of raw milk, add a pinch of turmeric and 3-4 drops of lemon juice. Use this solution on the affected skin. Allow it to dry. Then, clean with water. Else, soak saffron in fresh milk cream for a whole night. The next morning, mix it well and use on the skin. It will give a natural glow to your skin.

Gram Flour

Take some gram flour in a bowl. To make a paste, add rose water to it. Use it on the skin. After 20 minutes, wash off with water. For better results, you can also add yogurt and lime juice to this paste. Repeat it 2 times a week.

Fuller Earth (Multani Mitti)

Mix multani mitti, a pinch of turmeric powder and tomato juice. Rub this mixture on the tanned areas. It will do a wonder for your skin.

Papaya

Take papaya pulp and mash it. Apply on the tanned regions. It reduces the tanning.

Buttermilk

Take a cup of yogurt. Dilute it by adding water. Blend well. Apply with the help of a cotton ball. Within a few days use, you will surely feel the difference.

Honey

Mix lemon juice and honey. Add 3-5 drops of rosewater to it. Now, mix well and rub it on the skin. Wash with water, after 15-20 minutes.

Sugar

Mix equal quantity of lemon juice and sugar granules. Gently rub it. Leave it for fifteen minutes. It acts as natural bleach.

Baking Soda

In two teaspoons of mashed papaya, add ¼ teaspoon each of salt and baking soda. Now, apply this paste on the exposed areas. After ten to fifteen minutes, rinse off with cool water.

These homemade remedies can only effective if you religiously follow them. 
Apart from these natural solutions to remove sunburn, always cover yourself during summers and drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated. Make sure you use a sunscreen whenever you step out of the sun. Regularly moisturize and exfoliate your skin to ensure its good health. Once you come back from outdoors make it point to wash your face with cold water and also use a face wash to remove dirt and oil from the face.
